2018 Topps Update Variation Guide

Topps Update follows the same format and similar odds as that of Series 2. There Short Prints (SP) and Super-Short Prints (SSP) to hunt down. SSPs are easier to get than Series 2. Update also features more Legend variations that will take place of a current player, using the same card number. 2018 Topps Update also features Variation SP and SSP Autographs to look for. Ohtani has a number of cards in this set, as well as numerous variations. He has a legend variation (Nolan Ryan), a base SP variation, and a SSP both for pitching and hitting. Acuna also features a legend variation (Jeter), one SP and 2 SSPs. I'll show as many images I can without making the page too long.
What to Look For?
No rhyme or reason to the theme of the images used for the variations. There are a lot pre-game ritual images as there were in the other sets, but it's not exclusive to those types of images. The legend variations should be obvious pulls, but the SPs and SSPs can be tricky to spot. As always, Topps changes the code on the back of the card, on the very bottom in small print. Here are the codes to look for if you want to double check any stacks that you think may have a variation.
